So sad to hear that Tom had passed away. I knew Tom almost my entire life growing up in the neighborhood. He was considered part of our family and will be sorely missed. Tom was one of a kind and had a good heart. RIP Tom...we'll all miss you buddy.

We lost a good one way tooo soon. Tom was one of the Anvil Court Corral that would spend countless hours playing tennis ball, pickle, nerf football, BMX riding, jumping and other tricks, as well as Monopoly, Risk and pool hopping in the summers. I grew up with Tom and enjoyed his friendship and found myself often thinking of him even after moving away from Wappingers Falls 35 years ago. His fireworks stash was epic and his ability to build a fort from nothing but scraps of wood and a bunch of bent old nails was legendary. My Mom (now in NC), was visiting a friend last summer in WF, and they drove by our old house and stopped and met the new owners. Tom was visiting these people and when my Mom and Tom remembered each other from thirty years past, Tom gave Mom a huge heartfelt hug that Mom still smiles about. Great guy who was a true friend.

There are no words. We are completely heartbroken over the loss of our dear friend Tom.
You will never find a kinder or more generous friend and neighbor as Uncle Tom. We would all sit in our front yard and talk for hours. Dogs and kids loved Tom. Just the mention of his name in our house causes a ruckus as our dogs feverishly try to get to the door to see their friend.
The whole neighborhood has Tom to thank for decades of Fourth of July celebrations that surpass anything previously seen. He took so much pride and enjoyment in giving this gift to his neighbors, friends and family.
Our hearts go out to his sister Trish and family. You've endured so much loss. I can only hope the expression of love from all who knew Tom can help ease your pain.
We will miss you more than words can say Uncle Tom.

My heart broke when I heard the news and is breaking again reading the tribute. You welcomed Loretta and I into your court 14 years ago with open arms. You would come over for talks, blow our leaves, and eager to lend a hand when needed. 4th of July won't be the same without you doing the fireworks. You were a true neighbor and a truer friend. Bologna and Cupcake (Taco) will always miss their Uncle Tom. Miss you always and with deep gratification- Claudio and Loretta Estay.
