Obituary of Eileen Pike Bither
Eileen Bither entered into eternal rest in early December 2021. Born Eileen M. Myers in 1936, she was raised in Pleasant Valley, NY, and subsequently lived in Poughkeepsie, Bradenton FL, Jonesboro GA, Hodgdon ME, Pittsfield MA, Chattanooga TN, and Radford VA.
Eileen was a former Eastern Star member in Millbrook, danced with the Boots and Bows Square Dance Club, and was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Red Oaks Mill Fire Dept. She enjoyed bowling, camping, crafts, bingo, jigsaw puzzles, and music—especially Christmas and country western.
Eileen is loved, and survived by two sisters, Jane Smith and Rita Morey; one sister-in-law, Louise Dalton; her three children, Debra Greiner of TN, Sharon (Kurt) Smith of Pleasant Valley, and David Pike of VA; as well as four granddaughters, 6 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Eileen was pre-deceased by her husband of 26 years, Herbert Pike and her husband of 24 years, Floyd Bither, as well as her parents and brothers.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 18 at 11:00 am, at the Wappingers Rural Cemetery on West Main Street in Wappingers Falls.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Medi-Hospice, 141 E. Main St., Pulaski, VA 24301.
