Obituary of Lorraine R. Hirsch

Lorraine R. Hirsch, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. She was 74.

Daughter of the late Raymond and Margaret Glock Armstrong, she was born January 11, 1948 in Poughkeepsie. On September 1, 1967, she married Michael C. Hirsch in Poughkeepsie. He preceded her in death on October 1, 1998.

Prior to her retirement, Lorraine worked in the Cash Room at Caldor’s and later Kmart in Poughkeepsie.

Survivors include her children, Kathy Vining and her husband, Jeremy and Mike Hirsch; her sisters, Margaret Hasbrock and Kathy Harding; her brother, Ray Armstrong; her grandchildren, Jacob and Gabby; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Rhea.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Wappingers Rural Cemetery, West Main Street in Wappingers Falls.
