Obituary of Lisa M. Burlingame

Lisa M. Burlingame, formerly of Hopewell Jct., N.Y., and current resident of Wappingers Falls, N.Y. entered into eternal slumber surrounded by her family on February 27, 2022 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was 58. She was the first child of the late Robert J. Angot Sr. and Joan M. (Vallo) Angot, born in Beacon, N.Y. on April 15, 1963.

Lisa was a ray of sunshine and touched the lives of every single person she ever met. She made friends everywhere she went and could put a smile on your face, especially when you needed it the most. She was kind, thoughtful, and compassionate. Lisa was a loving mother, partner, sister, friend, and boss. Everything she did, she did with her whole heart. She was her daughter's whole world, lifelong cheerleader, and everlasting best friend. To her lifelong partner, Phyllis, she was her strength, greatest confidant, and forever love. To her sister and brothers, she was the leader of the family, strong, dedicated, and wise. To friends and coworkers, she was always there to listen, lend a hand, and to encourage. Her life will be remembered for her selflessness and effortless way of being a good human.

Most of her professional life was spent working in Managerial positions, as she had a natural ability to lead. Most recently, she spent the last 16 years working as the Manager of Stewart's Shops, in Middlehope, N.Y., where she was so well known by her customers and employees. If you went to visit her, you would feel like you were meeting a celebrity. Prior to that, she had worked for Grand Union and Hannaford from 1987 until 2003. She loved to play softball, playing on countless teams throughout the years. As a proud left-handed player, she was known for her killer line drives and remarkable sportsmanship. Lisa enjoyed going to the casino on occasion, most recently, taking a birthday trip with her daughter, Dawn, last April. She loved the beach and taking trips down to North Carolina with her daughter and partner, Phyllis, to spend time with Phyllis' family. Her dream had been to retire there in the next few years.

She is survived by her daughter, Dawn L.M. Burlingame, of Wappingers Falls, N.Y.; her loving partner, Phyllis Del Giudice, of Newport, N.C.; her sister Michelle Angot, of Beacon, N.Y.; brothers, Joseph Angot, of Beacon, N.Y. Jon Angot, of Pine Plains, N.Y., and Robert Angot, Jr., of Katonah, N.Y.; as well as 12 nieces and nephews, and a great niece and nephew.

As per Lisa's wishes, the services will remain private for her family. A celebration of life will be held sometime in the spring, her favorite season, around her birthday. In lieu of flowers and in remembrance of her life, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society cancer.org. or Talk to Me About Cats (TNR) talktomeaboutcats.org, to honor her beloved cats Chloe and Rosie, who will be transitioning into the care of her daughter and partner.
