Obituary of Audrey R. Curry

Audrey R. Curry, a resident of Poughkeepsie and formerly of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Monday, August 1, 2022 at Mid Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie. She was 89.

Daughter of the late Ernest and Geraldine Caswell, she was born May 29, 1933 in Hudson, New York. She married William A. Curry on December 2, 1951 in Ossining. Audrey and Bill were inseparable. They enjoyed going to casinos and traveling together.

Audrey worked as an Avon Representative for many years. She enjoyed fishing and skiing as well. She was affectionately known as Grandma Audrey to many.

Survivors include her children, Norman Curry and his wife, Michelle of Poughkeepsie, Michael Curry and his wife, Laura of Liberty and Darla Hickman and her husband, Steve of Poughkeepsie; her grandchildren, Danielle VanAllen and husband, Scott, Jennifer Mohammed and husband, Nishan, David Curry and wife, Diana, Steve Hickman, Alexis Curry and Kristy Curry; her eleven great-grandchildren; and her sister, Joy.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls. Family and friends will share memories at 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
