Obituary of Eileen P. Ennesser

Eileen Patricia Sommers Ennesser, 84, of Carolina Beach, North Carolina passed peacefully from this life on September 10, 2022.

Born in Mastic Beach, New York to the late Joseph and Beatrice Sommers, she married the love of her life, Joseph Ennesser in 1957 and they moved to Wappinger Falls, NY where she resided until 2020. 

Eileen was a cheerleading coach for Pop Warner football and for John Jay High School where she worked in the library. She spent many years volunteering for the Wappinger Falls Little League and following her three kids in their sporting events.

She is preceded in death by her husband Joe and her grandson Joey Brocato. Survivors include her three children, Jay Ennesser, Gene Ennesser and Karen (Michael) Brocato and grandchildren, Jennifer Ennesser, Nicole Sanchez, Danielle Quirino, Samantha Lucic, Sarah Christiansen, Courtney Brocato and Kevin Brocato. She also had 5 great grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappinger Falls from 3 to 7 p.m.  on Wednesday. September 21, 2022. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 22 at St. Mary Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street in Fishkill. Entombment will follow in Fishkill Rural Cemetery, Route 9 in Fishkill.
