Charles Thomas Messina, 91, of Poughkeepsie, New York passed peacefully from this life at home surrounded by loved ones on September 21, 2022.

Born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Thomas Messina and Angelina Messina, nee Gianni, he married Patricia Joyce in Boston, May 19, 1951.

Charlie worked for Pan American World Airways and travelled the world standing up the new reservation software and training local staff to use it.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Joseph and Grace. Survivors include his seven children, seventeen grandchildren, and twenty-eight great grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday. September 25, 2022. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Martin de Porres on Cedar Valley Road in Poughkeepsie, NY starting 10:45 a.m. on Monday, September 26 2022. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Wappingers Falls Cemetery, 19 Clinton St, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
