Obituary of Ann DiChiaro
Ann DiChiaro, a resident of Fishkill and formerly of Wappingers Falls and the Bronx, entered into rest Friday, September 23, 2022 at home. She was 86.
Daughter of the late Paul and Tessie Pepe Nigro, she was born December 13, 1935 in the Bronx. On August 27, 1955 at St. Valentine’s Church in the Bronx she married Dominick DiChiaro. Mr. DiChiaro preceded her in death on May 16, 2013.
Prior to her retirement, Ann worked at Lavelle School for the Blind in the Bronx. She enjoyed trips to the casino and treasured time spent with her family especially her grandchildren. Ann enjoyed cooking and no one will be able to recreate her baking.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Autorino and her husband, Robert of Fishkill; her grandchildren, Nicholas Vaccaro and Victoria Vaccaro; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband of fifty-eight years, she was predeceased by her brother, Thomas Nigro and her sister, Camille Sabella.
Memorial donations in Ann’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
