Obituary of Stacey A. Butler

Stacey A.  (Connolly) Butler, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. She was 48.

Daughter of Michael and Deborah Drovy Connolly, Sr., she was born May 9, 1974 in Yonkers. She married Anthony Butler who survives at home.  Stacey graduated from Roy C. Ketcham High School and continued her education eventually being certified by Montessori for teaching. She worked at Tutor Time in early childhood education and went on to work as a teacher at Lincoln Hall in Lincolndale.

Stacey started playing ball with the Town of Wappinger Little League, working her way up to play on several championship softball teams. She also played during high school and had also played on the IBM Ladies Softball League. Stacey always enjoyed a good time and will be remembered for always making people laugh. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her parents, Michael and Deborah Connolly, Sr.; her husband, Anthony Butler; as well as several cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Michael Connolly, Jr.  in September of 2020.

Family and friends will gather to remember and celebrate Stacey on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls.

A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4 at St. Mary’s Church, Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls.
