Obituary of Thomas J. Gallagher

Thomas J. Gallagher, a resident of Kirkwood, New York and formerly of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at his home. He was 61.

Son of the late John and Helena Bialousz Gallagher, he was born June 20, 1961 in Poughkeepsie. Tom worked in construction before retiring. He enjoyed boating.

Survivors include his daughter, Alicia Henry and her husband, Jonathan of Asheboro, North Carolina; his sister, Kathleen Leach and her husband, Kevin of O’Brien, Florida; his brother, Patrick Gallagher of LaGrange, Georgia; his granddaughter, Kearstin Henry; four nieces and nephews; seven great-nieces and great-nephews; as well as his life partner, Cynthia Barnhart.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Carol Bennett.

Family and friends will gather on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls. A time of remembrance will begin at 3:30 p.m. during the visitation.
