Obituary of Pauline C. Carver
Mrs. Pauline Carver passed away due to Alzheimer’s disease on February 11, 2023 at the age of 92. She resided at the Kingsway Nursing Home in Schenectady, New York.
Born in Rumford, Maine, she graduated from Stevens High School in 1949 and worked as a bank teller at the Casco Bank. She married Stanford Carver in 1954; Mr. Carver survives at home. She later worked as a teller at the Merchants Bank in Bangor, Maine while her husband attended college. In 1959, they moved to New York where Pauline kept a beautiful home.
As her sons were growing up, she was active in Cub Scouting and Little League. She was also very active in the Dutchess County Rug Hooking Guild, serving two terms as president; she was instrumental in the start of its re-growth. Pauline made friends easily and will be missed. Most importantly, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her husband, Stanford, she is survived by two sons, Douglas (Roberta) and Thomas (Lois); grandchildren, William, Alexandra, and Sarah; and her step-sister Jeanie Crowley.
