Obituary of John T. Rielly

John T. Rielly of Wappingers Falls entered into rest on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at home. He was 69. Son of the late Robert and Mary Henry Rielly, he was born on November 17, 1946 in the Bronx. He married the former Evelyn A. Eisele on August 10, 1968 in the Bronx; Mrs. Rielly preceded him in death, passing on November 3, 2011. John worked as an installer for New York Telephone for many years, until his retirement. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and the New York Yankees. John was a former member of the Trinity Council Knights of Columbus #445 in Beacon and a parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls. His favorite pastime was spoiling his beloved grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his daughters, Christine Flewelling and her husband, Ian of Poughkeepsie, and Theresa DeFelice and her husband, Don of Poughkeepsie; sister, Rosemary McCauley; grandchildren, Brianna, Marissa and Anthony DeFelice, and Alyssa Flewelling; and several nieces and nephews. "We love you to the sky and back" In addition to his parents and his cherished, Evelyn, John was predeceased by his brother, Robert Rielly and his sister, Sue Murphy. Family will receive their friends on Monday, January 25, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 11 Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls; Reverend James Cruz will preside. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Wappingers Falls.
