Obituary of Joseph M. Minotti, Sr.

On April 12, 2023, Joseph “Joe” Minotti, a resident of Wappingers Falls, returned to his heavenly home after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was 80 years old.

 

Joe was born and raised in the Bronx, the son of the late Carmella and Lawrence Minotti. On September 4, 1976, Joe married Trudi (Schuele) (Chrinian) Minotti who survives at home.

 

Joe owned J. Minotti Construction, which grew into Cady Lane Homes, Inc., for over 35 years. He made dreams of owning a home a reality. He was a well-respected builder in Dutchess County. Joe was also a member of the Builders’ Association of Dutchess County for many years. He was even honored at one time with an article in Hudson Valley Builders Magazine.

 

In addition to his wife, Trudi, Joe is survived by his children, Joseph Minotti, Jr. (Lisa) of Jacksonville, FL, Eugene Chrinian of Ridgewood, NJ, Heidi (Chrinian) Boula of Poughkeepsie, and Thomas Minotti (Melissa) of Stormville; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Justin, Brandon, Bradley, Michael, Christopher and Jonathan; and great-granddaughter, Lauren. Joe was a beloved husband, father, “Papa” to his grandchildren, great-grandfather, cousin and friend.

 

There will be no calling hours. Memorial services will be private, at the discretion of the family.

 

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Taconic Rehabilitation & Nursing Home for all the love and care they gave Joe while there in his final 7 months.
