Obituary of Patricia A. Dykman

Patricia A. Dykman, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Sunday, May 21, 2023 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. She was 85.

Daughter of the late Charles and Loretta Till, she was born November 29, 1937 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  Before marriage, she worked in the actuary department at Lincoln Life in Fort Wayne. She married Robert J. Dykman on June 23, 1962 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Mr. Dykman preceded her in death on January 3, 2010.

Patricia earned her Associate in Applied Science in Computer Information Systems from Dutchess Community College. She was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Wappingers Falls where she volunteered with the food pantry for many years.

Survivors include her six children, Linda, Brian and his wife, Julie, James, Theresa, Sandra and Steven; her sister, Carolyn; her brother, Richard and his wife, Nancy; as well as a niece and several nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Raymond and sister-in-law, Rose.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at St. Mary’s Church, 11 Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Wappingers Falls.
