Obituary of Barbara A. Dombrowski

Barbara A. Dombrowksi, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Thursday, June 15, 2023 at The Grand at River Valley in Poughkeepsie. She was 65.

Daughter of the late James and Anna Phalen Drummond, she was born January 28, 1958 in Manhattan. In 1982, she married Edward J. Dombrowski. Mr. Dombrowski, Sr. survives at home in Wappingers Falls.

Prior to having children, she worked as an assistant broker at Marsh and McLennan in Manhattan. She prided herself on taking care of the home and her children. After her children grew up, she held several part time jobs she enjoyed. Barbara loved her pets and especially feeding the animals in her yard. She enjoyed gardening and was known for her cooking. She was a parishioner of St. Mary Mother of the Church in Fishkill.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Elizabeth Connelly and her husband, Barry of Hyde Park and Edward Dombrowksi, Jr. of Wappingers Falls; her brother, James Drummond; and her grandson, Barry Connelly.

Family and friends will gate from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 19, 2023 at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, 342 South Avenue in Poughkeepsie.
