Obituary of Richard D. Rhoades
Richard D. Rhoades, of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Sunday, July 30, 2023 at Renaissance Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center in Staatsburg. He was 81.
Son of the late William and Jeanette St. Clair Rhoades, he was born April 26, 1942 in Long Beach, California. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1967. He married the former Therese Adams in 1972. Mrs. Rhoades survives at home.
Dick worked as a respiratory therapist for many local healthcare groups before his retirement. He loved music and was known to tinker around the house. He cherished his pets.
Survivors include his wife, Therese Rhoades at home in Wappingers Falls; his daughter, Jennifer Rhoades of Holden, Massachusetts; his son, Brian Rhoades and his wife, Emily of Aurora, Illinois; his granddaughter, Caroline Rhoades; his sister, Lynne Fisher and her husband, Jim of New Jersey; as well as several nieces and nephews. Dick is also survived by his dear friend, Leon Muller who was there for Dick and his family throughout the years.
Services will be private.
