Obituary of Taylor David Pratt
On December 26, 2023, Taylor David Pratt, passed peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones, at his family’s home in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Taylor was born in Cold Spring, NY, on March 8, 1993 to his loving parents, Stephen J. Pratt and Barbara Casablanco-Pratt. Taylor is the youngest of 6 children. He is predeceased by his eldest brother Stephen Pratt, and survived by sisters, Courtney M. McDonnell-Near, Morgan E. Pratt, Remy L. (Pratt) Manresa, and brother Adam G. Pratt. He is the uncle to Gavin P. Near, Ella S. Near, and Rowan C. Manresa.
Taylor was born with love in his eyes and a dimpled smile that could outshine any other. He grew up in Wappingers Falls, but after a family move, graduated from Poughkeepsie High School, in 2011. He went on to Vassar College and graduated in 2016, with a degree in Urban Studies, during which time, made a multitude of friendships. To meet Taylor, is to befriend him, love him, and cherish him.
Taylor moved to Los Angeles, CA, and began his work in agricultural studies. His brilliance and creativity allowed him to work as a landscape architect which was truly his passion. But knowing Taylor and his charm, he found himself also working in the entertainment industry, on sets as a production assistant and personal assistant.
While living in California, Taylor met his love and partner, Mitchell Fiebernitz. Together they built a life, and traveled together. Mitchell’s love has helped Taylor through his hardest days.
Taylor is unapologetically one of the most unique, intellectual, and talented individuals you’ll ever meet. His playful spirit, quick wit, and beautiful way of thinking is what makes him one of the most extraordinary people you’ll ever know.
Taylor fought through his toughest, cancer battles the last few months surrounded by his loved ones. It’s through that love that he was able to spend his remaining time at home with loved ones, family, and friends that came to laugh, cry and honor him in his final days.
A celebration of life will be forthcoming.
