I met Rod while we were in high school running cross-country in our sophomore year. We remain friends through high school and I would see him occasionally at Metzger‘s meat market after that. I always remember him as a kind, gentle person.

Rod did his law school internship in Dutchess County Family Court with Hon. George D. Marlow, Secretary Paula Papastrat, and myself, the court clerk. We truly did become a little ‘family’ that soon included Karen and Kate. There never has been a truer friend than Rod, and there aren’t adequate words to describe the depths of this loss.

We are so sorry to hear of Rod's passing. He was the first Vice President of the Hopewell Depot Restoration Corporation and provided legal council through its early years. His interest in trains, railroad history, and the Depot's restoration helped shape what was to come. Depot Park owes a lot to his commitment and guidance. He'll be missed by those who knew him. May he rest in peace. The Hopewell Depot Museum's Board of Trustees

Rod, it's been a long time since we were in the same French class at John Jay. Even though we haven't seen each other in a while, I'm glad we got to meet at a fire department function a while ago. Rest easy, my friend, until we meet again, buddy.
