Obituary of Janice A. Fleming

Janice A. Fleming, born on December 21, 1952, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Janice leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.

She is survived by her devoted father, James Bucceri, and her siblings: brother James Bucceri, and sisters Barbara Siviglia, Deborah Dempsey, Jacqueline Palkaunieks, and Dina Handa. Janice’s life was further enriched by her loving husband of 52 years, James M. Fleming, and their three children: Donna Fleming (Eddie Vazquez), James W. Fleming (Danielle Cahill), and Corinne de Sa’ (Jeremy Calogero). She is also survived by her grandchildren—Derek Fleming, Lea Fleming, and David de Sa’—and step-grandchildren—Hayley Calogero, Travis Calogero, Connor Cahill, and Emma Cahill. Janice is also survived by many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews who will always remember her kindness and warmth. She was predeceased by her mother, Marie Bucceri.

Janice’s warm spirit and gentle soul touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She loved cooking for her family, and her delicious meals and the memories shared around the table will be treasured forever. Janice also had a passion for crossword puzzles, spending countless hours enjoying and solving them. She will be dearly missed but remembered with love by her family and friends.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, July 19, 2024 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Mother of the Church, Jackson Street in Fishkill. Interment will follow in Fishkill Rural Cemetery, Fishkill.
