James Patrick Bucceri, born October 19, 1928, in Manhattan, New York, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 28, 2024 at the age of 95. He was predeceased by his parents, Salvatore Bucceri and Sebastiana Alacata, his wife Marie Bucceri and his brothers, Anthony, Santo, Carmelo, Paul and Mario Bucceri. He is also predeceased by his beloved daughter, Janice Fleming.

James is survived by his children: Barbara Siviglia (Carlo Siviglia), James Bucceri (Denise Bucceri), Debra Dempsey (Louis Dempsey), Jacqueline Palkaunieks (Marty Palkaunieks), and Dina Handa (David Handa). He will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

James had a passion for playing poker, betting on horses at OTB, and enjoyed watching his favorite movies, “My Blue Heaven” and “Six Days, Seven Nights.”

Services will be held on October 12th from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Straub, Catalano, and Halvey Funeral Home, located at 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Hudson Valley Hospice in memory of James would be greatly appreciated.
