Obituary of Carmela A. Tebolt
Carmela “Millie” Tebolt of Wappingers Falls entered into rest Monday, November 4, 2024 at home. She was 88.
Daughter of the late Carmelo and Theresa (Recupera) Cataldo, she was born on September 2, 1936 in New Rochelle. She married the love of her life, Michael A. Tebolt, on June 15, 1958 at Blessed Sacrament Church in New Rochelle; Mr. Tebolt survives at home.
Millie graduated from New Rochelle High School. After marriage, she spent her years making a warm and loving home for her husband and two sons. For years, Millie always volunteered at her children’s and grandchildren’s games and events, where everyone looked forward to her homemade, individually wrapped brownies. She loved to bake, especially her famous crumb cake. Millie was also an avid Mets fan. In her spare time, Millie was a member of Mended Hearts, Chapter 5, as well as a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Wappingers Falls. Her most favorite pastime was time spent with her family.
In addition to her husband, Michael, she is survived by her sons, Michael A. Tebolt, Jr. (Tracey) of Schroon Lake, and James B. Tebolt (Allison) of Wappingers Falls; brother, Joseph Cataldo (Patricia); sister, Florence Caiano (Paul); grandchildren, Michelle Tebolt (fiancé, John Dittmann), Carly Tebolt and Luke Tebolt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Frank Cataldo, and sisters, Josephine Raplee, Mary Williams and Yolanda D’Onofrio.
Family will receive their friends on Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main Street in Wappingers Falls.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 11 Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Wappingers Falls.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Millie’s name to Mended Hearts, Chapter 5, www.mendedhearts.org.
