Obituary of Steven L. Zettlemoyer

Steven Zettlemoyer, age 64, of Wappingers Falls, NY, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at his home.

Son of Charles and Betty Zettlemoyer and brother to sister Lisa, Steven was born and raised in Reading, PA. He attended Muhlenberg High School where he made friends that would last a lifetime. In 1987 Steven married the love of his life, Nancy Bergtold. They settled in Wappingers Falls, NY where they raised their two daughters Sharon and Beth.

Steven taught his daughters how to swim, ride bikes, and appreciate classic rock music! He could always be found drumming and strumming away to classic rock tunes while driving. During the summer, the family spent their time at the beach, a long standing tradition which Steven continued to provide for his family. The memories made and the laughs shared are irreplaceable.

Steven loved many things in life, but overall he valued his family most. He was proud of his children and their accomplishments and loved spending time with his 3 grandchildren, who were his pride and joy.

Steven is preceded in death by his father, Charles, and mother, Betty Zettlemoyer. Steven is survived by his wife Nancy Zettlemoyer, sister Lisa Reichardt, daughters Sharon Zettlemoyer and Beth Arne, son-in-law Richard Arne and three grandchildren Benjamin, Madison, and Oliver Arne.

There will be a private memorial for family only at a later date.
