Obituary of Frank R. Nicodemus
Frank Ralph Nicodemus entered into eternal rest on December 21, 2024. Frank was born in Bronx, NY on April 20, 1944 to Frank A. Nicodemus and Ruth A. Nicodemus (née Hognell).
Frank is survived by his son, Frank R. Nicodemus Jr. of Wappingers Falls, NY, his daughter Amanda Nicodemus of New York, NY, his stepsons Peter Miller and Henry Miller of Mt. Vernon, NY and Elsa Mauer Nicodemus of Wappingers Falls, NY, his former wife and mother of his children. Additionally, he is survived by his brother Robert Nicodemus and several nieces and nephews.
Growing up, Frank loved boating with his family in Montauk, NY and after earning his auto appraiser license, worked in his parents’ business, County Adjustment Company for many years.
In 1985, Frank and Elsa moved to Wappingers Falls, NY and started restoring a house that was built in 1744. They simultaneously started FEN Enterprises, a Cadillac restoration and parts supply business. Known in his community as the “Cadillac Man”, he took pride in restoring prize winning classic Cadillacs. A highlight in his career included providing the Rolling Stones with “Bad Girl”, a 1955 Eldorado Biarritz, for their Bridges to Babylon press tour in 1996.
He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Victoria Nicodemus and his siblings Fred Nicodemus and Susan Nicodemus Kicklighter.
Visitation will be held at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home on Friday, December 27, 4 - 7 PM. The family will hold a private funeral.
