Obituary of Michael R. Pardee

Michael R. Pardee of Wappingers Falls entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 peacefully at home. He had recently celebrated his 60th birthday.

Son of the late Edward C. and Dorothy I. (Messerich) Pardee, he was born on December 27, 1964 in Beacon, New York. He married his best friend and the love of his life Patricia Ann Doyle on a beautiful summer day on July 2, 2005 in Fishkill, New York.

Mike was a huge fan of Jethro Tull and other bands such as Led Zeppelin and Judas Priest. Mike lived for his music and played and collected various musical instruments with a particular passion for stringed instruments. Mike wrote, recorded, and produced his own music, was a professional comedian and loved science fiction, British comedy, camping, and nature. He was well known and appreciated for his quick-witted comedic banter. He was also an avid reader and wrote short stories. Michael also enjoyed working as a Customer Support Specialist for RQI Partners in Wappingers Falls.

In addition to his wife, Patricia, he is survived by his children, Amandalee Dornada Shafer (Timothy) of Gradyville, KY and Matthew R. Doyle of Hopewell Junction; brother, Kenneth E. Pardee (Sheila) of Davenport, FL; sisters, Karen L. Kussel of Poughkeepsie and Tammy M. Pardee of Wappingers Falls; grandchildren Jewlie, Dominic, A.J., and Kaelyn; great-grandchild, Persephone; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mike's family and friends will gather for a celebration of life on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A funeral service will be held at the conclusion of visitation at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Michael’s name to the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley.
