Obituary of Richard E. Dolan

Richard Edward Dolan, 83, of Wappingers Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024 in his home with loved ones.

Richard was born in the Bronx, NY, and raised by Gerry and Ann Rocchio. He grew up in Fordham where he attended school. He was a proud member of Teamsters Local 282, Lake Success, NY and worked for and retired from the Defoe Corporation, Mount Vernon, NY.

Richard was a devoted husband, loving Dad and grandfather, and loyal friend. He loved his wife Kathy, his sister Joanne, a good cigar, horses, fishing with his grandchildren and being with his family.

Richard is survived by his sons Eugene, Anthony, Ricky, Denis, Michael, Timothy, Scott and William; daughters Denise, Kimberly and Kathleen; brother Bruno; sister Joanne; and grandchildren Brianna, Denis Jr., Samantha, Paige, Tayden and Matthew.

Richard was predeceased by his wife Kathleen, mother Ann and brother Artie (Junior).

Family will receive their friends on Saturday, January 11, 2024 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A funeral service will be held during visitation at 1:30 p.m.
