Obituary of Elizabeth Christine Rupolo
Elizabeth Christine Rupolo, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital. She was one month and three days old.
Daughter of Anthony R. and Jessica R. (Roe) Rupolo, she was born December 11, 2024 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her twin sister, Margaret Jean Rupolo; her maternal grandparents, Douglas and Nancy Roe; paternal grandparents, Anthony J. and Christine Rupolo; her great-grandparents, Bernard and Margaret Roe, and Frances Newkirk; her aunt and uncle, Rebecca and Chad Laska and her cousin, Myles; uncle and godfather, Christopher Rupolo; godmother, Sarah O’Hop; and many extended family members.
In her short life, Elizabeth (Ellie) touched many hearts. She made her family and nurses laugh with her crazy moves and spunky attitude. She loved observing the world around her and snuggling up with her Mommy and Daddy. She always knew what she wanted and she usually got it, with all of us wrapped around her little fingers. Although she was so tiny, she was fiercely mighty and will forever be so loved.
Ellie will always be remembered by the moon, to help watch over all of us each and every night. She will also guide us all in the right direction, even when there may be dark paths ahead.
The family would like to thank her NICU nurses for their compassion and support.
Family and friends will gather on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 18 at New Hackensack Reformed Church, 1580 Route 376 in Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in Fishkill Rural Cemetery, 801 Route 9 in Fishkill.
