Obituary of Patricia A. Sokol

Patricia A. Sokol, a resident of Wappingers Falls, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016 at her home. She was 74. Daughter of the late Robert F. and Helen Sherman Cleary, she was born August 12, 1941 in Poughkeepsie. She married John A. Sokol on January 3, 1964 at St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls. Mr. Sokol survives at home in Wappingers Falls. Patricia was a kind and gentle spirit that brought joy to those around her. She worked with her husband in the family construction business and also was a wonderful and devoted homemaker. Patricia and her husband enjoyed traveling. They spent several years seeing many parts of the world aboard their sailboat. Most important was the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed. In addition to her husband John, she is survived by her sons, Christopher Sokol and his wife, Joann of Saint Charles, Missouri, Paul Sokol and his wife, Janet of Poughquag, and Matthew Sokol and his wife, Alison of Southbury, Connecticut; her brothers, Robert Clearly and James Cleary; and her grandchildren, Dylan, Sarah, Michael, Kaylee, Ryan, Megan, and Collin.
