I was very saddened to return from vacation this weekend and hear about the passing of Gerry. I worked for Gerry at Ward's Auto Body in the 1980"s. He was and still remains the best boss I ever had, and he became a great friend. I remember him driving me to and from work in his Studebaker which was a thrill for a car crazy teenager. He taught me a lot and was my go to Guy for years when it came to Painting. Although I didn't see Gerry much in recent years I always thought about the fun we had together and think of him whenever I look at my Camaro which Gerry did paint work on. When I would run into Gerry around town he made me know that we would always be friends, even if years passed between our meeting. I will miss him. My Condolences to Evelyn and his family. I remember spending many happy times during high school and several years after, with Gerry and Evelyn. Gerry was always kind, generous and happy. He worked long hours and loved his family dearly. Fun times sitting around the dining room table smoking cigarettes, eating pizza and drinking beer. Summers outside in the garage and driveway and backyard pool partying with family, friends and neighbors. Everyone was always welcomed. Gerry and Evelyn always had their door open. I feel blessed to have such wonderful memories of a dear loving man. My love and deepest sympathy goes out to Evelyn, Scott, Brian, Jerilynn and their families. Your husband, father, uncle, and grandfather was an amazing man and I feel blessed to have known him......
