Obituary of Christopher Edward Burke

Christopher Edward Burke, a resident of Poughkeepsie, entered into rest Monday, August 21, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He was 42. Son of Edward A. and Lorraine Karney Burke, he was born December 9, 1973 in the Bronx; a fact he was proud of. Chris was an artist, sculptor and digital programmer; owning his own business, Studio 25N in Fishkill. He had a love of classic cars and a passion for animals. He will always be remembered as a helpful and good person who would do anything for anyone. He is survived by his parents, Lorraine and Edward Burke of Fishkill; his wife, April Winters Burke of Poughkeepsie; his daughters, Miranda and Destiny Delanoy; his sister, Jennifer Burke-Prunty of South Salem; his nephew and godson, Ryan Prunty; as well as his beloved dog and constant companion, Gizmo. Family will receive their friends on Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A memorial service will follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
