Obituary of William Anthony Perre

William A. Perre, 58, of Poughkeepsie passed away peacefully at home on October 15, 2016. Bill was born in Yonkers, NY on February 1, 1958. After graduating from West Babylon High School, he attended Wilfred Beauty Academy. In 1981 he moved to Poughkeepsie to begin his life long career as a hairdresser, educator and salon owner. Bill married Kathleen Esser on June 13, 1992. They were married for 24 years and have two children. Bill is survived by his parents, Anthony and Celeste Chiariello Perre of Fort Myers, Florida; his wife, Kathy at home in Poughkeepsie; his son, Anthony Perre; his daughter, Taylor Perre both of Poughkeepsie; his sisters, Patricia Bradley and her husband, John of West Islip and Tina Wilde and her husband, Michael of Bayport; his wife's siblings, Richard Esser and his wife, Ellen of Jacksonville, Florida, Joan Esser of Jupiter, Florida, Mark Esser of Wellington, Florida, David Esser and his wife, Kathryn of Munson, Massachusetts, and Jeffrey Esser of Jupiter, Florida; several nieces, nephews and cousins; as well other loving family and friends. He was predeceased by his sister in law, Susan Esser. Bill loved life, had many interests and touched many lives. His greatest passion was his family. Family will receive friends on Friday, October 21, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls. A Memorial Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 22 at Mount Alvernia Chapel, 158 Delavergne Avenue in Wappingers Falls.
