Obituary of Mary E. Taylor
Mary E. Taylor of Poughkeepsie entered into rest on Monday, October 17, 2016. Mary was born on March 18, 1958 in Queens, New York to Theresa M. Krawiec and the late Edward J. Krawiec.
Mary attended grade school at St. Mary's School in Wappingers Falls and graduated in 1976 from Our Lady of Lourdes High School in Poughkeepsie. Mary went on to graduate with a Bachelor's degree in music from Manhattan School of Music and earned her Master of Social Work degree at Adelphi University. Mary worked as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for her Poughkeepsie and Manhattan based company, Center for Creative Intelligence. Mary had a passion for her work and dedicated her life to it.
Mary is survived by her mother, Theresa Krawiec of Poughkeepsie, her life partner, Joseph Firth of Poughkeepsie and his daughter April and son Joseph, her brother Paul Krawiec and his wife Petra of Providence Forge, VA. Mary is also survived by her nephew CJ and her niece, Jacqueline.
Family will receive friends on Monday, October 24, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 11 Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Private burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
