Obituary of Gaye J. Heady

Gaye J. Heady, a resident of Poughkeepsie, entered into rest Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. She was 72. Daughter of the late George A. and Helen Julianna Erickson Hart, she was born November 1, 1943 in the Bronx. She was married to Albert Heady who preceded her in death on March 31, 1987. Prior to her retirement, Gaye worked at Guideposts Magazine in Carmel. Survivors include her daughters, Joanne Kase and her husband, Peter of Poughkeepsie and Christine Taylor and her husband, Michael of Wappingers Falls; her brother, George Hart of Poughkeepsie; her grandchildren, Peter Kase, Jr., Julianna Kase, Joey Taylor and Jake Taylor; as well as several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will then follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, Route 9 in Fishkill.
