Obituary of Marie F. Magrin

Marie F. Magrin, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie with her family by her side. She was 83. Daughter of the late Ernest and Frances Cherby Mucci, she was born December 6, 1932 in New Rochelle. On October 5, 1957, she married Robert A. Magrin at St. Joseph's Church in New Rochelle. Mr. Magrin, Sr. survives at home in Wappingers Falls. Marie was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls. She loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Elizabeth Vickers and her husband, Scott of Huntsville, Alabama, Robert Magrin, Jr. and his wife, Dana of New Haven, Connecticut, Janet Mraz and her husband, Ronald of South Salem, and Susan Jordan of Hyde Park; her brother, Ernest Mucci; her grandchildren, Loreli DeLeon, Vanessa Mudd, Haley and Erica Magrin, Ronald and Georgia Mraz, and Erin and Riley Jordan; her great-grandchildren, Logan and Sadie DeLeon, and Leah Mudd; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Frank, Peter and Joseph, and her sisters, Lillian, Genevieve and Ida. Family will receive their friends on Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, November 14 at St. Mary's Church, 11 Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Entombment will follow in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery Community Mausoleum, South Avenue in Poughkeepsie.
