Obituary of Joan M. Warren

Joan M. Warren, a resident of Fishkill, entered into rest Saturday, November 12, 2016 at her home. She was 83. Daughter of the late George and Catherine Casey, she was born June 18, 1933 in Poughkeepsie. She was a graduate of the Wappingers Central High School. On May 21, 1955 she married Robert E. Warren at St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls. Mr. Warren preceded her in death on May 16, 1995. Prior to her retirement, Joan worked as an administrative secretary for the Town of Wappinger. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary Mother of the Church in Fishkill where she was also active in the Marian Guild. She is survived by her children, Robert T. Warren of Fishkill, Kathryn Poitras and her husband, Jeffrey of Southbury, Connecticut, and Laura Weiss and her husband, John of Carmel; her twin sister, Sally Trabucco of Yorktown Heights; her grandchildren, Megan Poitras, Ryan Poitras, and Erik Weiss; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Kevin J. Warren on November 10, 2014. Family will receive their friends on Monday, November 21, 2016 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls. A Memorial Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22 at St. Mary Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street in Fishkill. Interment will follow in Fishkill Rural Cemetery, Route 9, Fishkill. Memorial donations in Joan's name may be made to Hudson Valley Hospice, 374 Violet Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
