I would like to extend my sincere condolences to Gene's Family. Gene and I shared an office at IBM East Fishkill in 1972 when I had just returned to IBM after 3 years in the Military. I remember Gene as a "Man of All Seasons". He knew a lot about so many topics. He helped to welcome me back into the IBM fold with his advice and guidance. I will always have fond memories of him. May God comfort you all with his memories and legacy.

Dear Karen, and the entire Rzodkiewicz Family,
I am so deeply saddened by the news of your father's passing. He was such an interesting, intelligent and patient family man. I have such wonderful memories of feeling so welcome in your home as we grew up together. If I remember correctly, he really tried to talk with us and understand our love of Duran Duran! As time went on I could tell by the photos of your parents with all of their grandchildren, that they were incredibly happy and exactly where they wanted to be. He lived such a full and beautiful life - a life that would never be long enough.
I am just so sorry I am not there in person to celebrate and honor that life, with you.
My arms are wrapped around you from afar. And my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

To all of Gene's family.
I was totally blindsided by Gene's passing. He was always so active. I lived across the street and had many conversations about many things, including IBM, Ham Radio and even walking in the mall. My wife, Dianne and I send our condolences and our love to you all.

Sad to hear of Gene's passing. I worked with him for several years at IBM and even learned how to spell his last name. He was always a gentleman and a great guy to work with.

Gene was a remarkable person. I still remember our friendship while serving in the Navy LSU Squadron many years ago. Meeting Gene again many years later
at an Amateur Radio meeting was remarkable.

Gene was an amazing person. He always loved to fix his car and help out his neighbors with theirs. Every Christmas season, Gene would make his famous peanut brittle. It was always a treat. Gene loved to talk about the real political world, not the fake talk on mainstream TV. He helped Jim Buckley win the senate seat and when Buckley strayed from his Conservative party roots, Gene took him to task. He helped me in my 1993 campaign for Town of Poughkeepsie council to try and ward off corruption. For over 50 years,my family is deeply indebted to Gene and Grace for their hospitality and help. We pray for Grace and family at this time. My father Ned and Gene are probably playing Hearts right now.

Our family is praying for Gene , his wife Grace and all the Rzodkiewicz family . My parents loved his company and his wealth of knowledge. Gene knew about cars, electricity and so many other things. Gene came to the rescue many times. Playing various cards games with Gene and Grace passed the time and everyone battled to win. Hearts was a favorite. My Dad would try to distract everyone with conversation. Gene was always able to concentrate. Gene made sure you learned the truth concerning the political history and current political state of the USA and the world. Barbecues at the Rzodkiewicz household were always a treat. My parents, my brothers and sisters ,along with many of his neighbors are greatly indebted to Gene which goes back over 50 years. There are so many stories to tell. One time, in his home town back in the 1950's, Gene picked up a Cuban TV broadcasting station late at night.Another time, He was helping my Dad with the furnace along with Ray Dalrymple. No challenge was too great.I will never forget this great friend who was always able to help you in so many ways.
