Obituary of Timothy Zammiello

Timothy Zammiello, 64, of Wappingers Falls, succumbed to the complications of Multiple Myeloma, surrounded by his loving family on February 8, 2017. Tim loved his job as a general contractor and worked for 40+ years until he was forced to stop due to his illness. Often referred to as "The 442 Man," he was an avid car enthusiast and enjoyed collecting classic cars. He was also an active member of the Italian Center of Poughkeepsie and often enjoyed the camaraderie alongside his fellow members. Tim was always there to help family and friends with whatever they needed. His huge heart and great sense of humor will be missed by all that knew and loved him. Tim is survived by his wife Sharon of 41 years, his daughters Kristen Marrocco and her husband Pete, Lisa Clifford and her husband Paul, Kelly Zammiello and her fiancé Joe Carbone, and two grandchildren, Timothy Olker and Rose Marrocco. He is also survived by two sisters, Rosemary McKenna and Gail Kerner, two brothers, David and Raymond Zammiello, and many loving nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends. Tim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all. Family will receive their friends on Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 13 at the Church of St. Columba, 835 Route 82 in Hopewell Junction.
