We join in your sorrow. I will miss my handsome, kind and "quietly sociable" Uncle Frankie. I am so thankful for the Myrtle Beach Memories....sitting under the umbrellas, drinking bloody mary's, putt-putt golf, Friendly Ice Cream birthday dinner, playing cards and games, the jokes, the humor, it was all wonderful!

I am sorry for not being able to be there, today. I am very relieved that all of my siblings who live in upstate New York are today attending his Celebration of Life. I did get the chance to speak with Ma Urbanski -- a.k.a., if I may borrow from her repartee -- the spokesperson' for the boss', a couple of days before he had passed. It was, of course, a very nice conversation. I am always amazed at how strong and graceful a spouse can be under such presumably overwhelming circumstances, yet cannot say that I was quite surprised, here. I remember Frank once sharing with someone, as part of a three-person conversation, that my father was the most unpretentious person you'll ever meet, and I easily feel the same can be said right back at him. It takes one to know one, and that's how they remained really close. They were both relatively kind, quiet, thoughtful men, who came with their warm and gregarious side. Recently having had to pour through thousands of photos my mother had taken over her life, I happened to flip across more than a few of Frank napping' at the end of any a one hard night. Personally, I feel that's a little unfair, but there did happen to be quite a small collection. Frank and Leslie had been close friends with my parents for decades. They traveled together by land, sea, and air, and could live forever creating new as well as sharing memorable laughs. In more recent years, they had dinner every Friday night. Frank and Leslie kindly stopped over my parents' house after my father's services to spend some quiet down-time with my sister, Dori, and I. He appeared positively devastated at my father's wake. But, again, this gesture in itself proved strong, kind, gracious, and unpretentious. I wish to sincerely thank Frank and Leslie for their legacy of friendship with my parents, and to offer my sincerest condolences -- and hugs!, through my siblings, there -- to Leslie, Jason, and Bret. Be well, and I will keep in touch.

Frank loved his Leslie and all his family. He was humble, quick to smile, quick to laugh, and never said an unkind word about anybody. I had the joy of playing tennis with him -- he reminded me of a flea because he darted forward/back/side-to-side and everywhere on the court so very fast. I was with him when he played golf for the first time. After driving his ball, he walked down the fairway and leaned over when he got to his ball. I asked him what he was doing and he said he was putting the ball on the tee. He didn't know you only get to use a tee on the first drive at each hole. Broke me up! Frank, of course, accepted this rule of golf without argument or complaint and simply played on by the rules. A real gentleman! On the way to a camp-out, Kathy and I stopped at a little rural store and bought some fresh locally-made horseradish. Frank took a huge dollop and plopped it on his brat like it was everyday horseradish. His sinuses were cleared instantly and his head nearly came off his neck. When he could breathe again, he joined the rest of us in the good laugh we had at his expense. Frank loved his friends and his beer and all of us loved to join him in a beer or two. So many of us will miss him mightily! We love you, Frank.

Aunt Leslie, Brett, Jason and the entire family. I am saddened to hear about "Uncle Frank's" passing. It's been many years since we've seen you all but the Urbanski's were like family to us. I will always remember your visit to my house 12 years ago to meet my son Kai as a newborn. May Uncle Frank Rest In Peace. Our family will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
