Obituary of Raymond F. Loncto
Raymond F. Loncto, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Friday, May 12, 2017 at Renaissance Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Staatsburg. He was 87
Son of the late Herbert and Rose Newman Loncto, he was born February 27, 1930 in Union, New Jersey. He married the former Edna Mae Jockers. Mrs. Loncto preceded him in death.
Prior to his retirement, Ray worked at IBM in East Fishkill. He was a former member of the Masons in Wappingers Falls as well as working several years in the National Guard. He enjoyed working around the house as well as woodworking.
He is survived by his children, Linda Holmquist of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, Diane Froman of Poughkeepsie, Bonnie Schafer of Middletown, and Mark Loncto and his wife, Mary Ann of Poughkeepsie; his grandchildren, Kelli, Jamie, Stacey, Michael, Jake, Kara, Alison, Katie and Erica; his great-grandchildren, Jackson, Nicholas, Luke, Sophie, Trenton, Tyler, Ben, Robert, Jesse, Natalie, Bradley and Peyton; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his son, Eric Loncto; his grandson, Kevin Loncto; his sister, Margie Weihbrecht; and brother, Herbert Loncto.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2 Jefferson Street #103, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
