Rudy Veltre inspired me with his devotion to church music ministry in the early 70s - a ministry I still fully embrace to this very day. I send our condolences to the Veltre family. Rudy was a great guy and a teacher of humanity. We shared ministry together in a variety of ways including Tres Dias and prison ministry. My good friend Rudy. A person who I worked with occasionally and fished with many times. Rudy introduced me to fishing in the St. Lawrence Seaway and we spent many days fishing in one of my rowboats catching bass and singing Christian songs. We always had a good time fishing and singing songs. Rudy and I also went out on ocean party boats catching Bluefish. I remember once no fish were not biting, I asked Rudy to say a prayer. He did. Immediately we both hooked up fish. Our prayers go out to Eleanor and their family. Rudy will be sorely missed by us. Frank and Ginny Somers

Please know that Rudy and your family are in my prayers. Although I didn't know Rudy well I was blessed with serving on a prison retreat with him. His faith especially through music was very evident.I was the music minister and he gave a book of music to help me. May he be in the embrace of our Lord.
