Obituary of Robert K. Gilleo

Robert K. Gilleo, Jr. of Wappingers Falls entered into rest Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He was 67. Son of the late Robert K. Gilleo, Sr. and Bernice Cudworth Gilleo, he was born on February 7, 1951 in Peekskill. He married Janet Cioffoletti on February 20, 1999; Mrs. Gilleo survives at home. Robert worked as a custodian for Yorktown Middle School for many years. His family affectionately referred to him as "Mr. Clean". In addition to his wife, Janet, he is survived by his children, Robert K. Gilleo, III and Emilia M. Gilleo; step-daughters, Gianina M. Cava and her fiancé, Don Sordi, and Cara M. Cava; his sister, Penny Jennings and her husband, William; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Linda McPhee. Family will receive their friends on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
