Obituary of Raymond B. Jennings

Raymond B. Jennings, Jr., a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He was 72. Son of the late Raymond Jennings, Sr. and Dorothy Locke Jennings, he was born April 11, 1946 in New London, Connecticut. Prior to his retirement, he was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service in Wappingers Falls. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of his yard. He was also an avid Yankees fan. Survivors include his wife of fifty-one years, Charlene Carey Jennings; his children, Wendy Jennings of Wappingers Falls and Raymond Jennings, III of Ossining; his sister, Sheryle Jennings of Poughkeepsie; his grandchildren, Arnold Williams and Raylene Williams of Wappingers Falls, Raymond "RJ" Jennings, IV, Sarah Jennings, and Thomas Jennings of Ossining; and his former daughter-in-law, Veronica Jennings of Ossining. Services will be held at the convenience of the family in the future. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be to Spastic Paraplegia Foundation, 1605 Goularte Place, Fremont, CA 94539-7241.
