Obituary of Antoinette R. Defraio

Antoinette R. DeFraio Antoinette R. DeFraio of the Town of Wappinger entered into rest Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at home surrounded by her family. She was 89. Daughter of the late Michael and Anna Letteri Marinucci, she was born on November 30, 1915 in Poughkeepsie. She married her loving husband Thomas G. DeFraio on September 3, 1933 at Mt. Carmel Church; they remained happily married for 65 years. He precedes her in death, passing on February 23, 1999. Antoinette worked as a bindery worker for Western Printing in Poughkeepsie for 34 years, until her retirement in 1977. She was also involved in the Western Retirees, AARP and participated in the choir for St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls. Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Marino of Wappingers Falls; her sister-in-law, Alice Marinucci; her grandchildren and their spouses, Lee and Debbie Marino, Tina and John Rivieccio, Carol and Ken Walton and Thomas and Kristen Marino; 2 step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Thomas, she is predeceased by her brothers, Albert, Carmine "Thomas", Frank, Albert and Dominick Marinucci, her sisters, Connie Minholz and Theresa Robbins and her son-in-law, Jerry Marino. Family will receive their friends on Thursday, November 17, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Straub Funeral Home, 55 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, November 18 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in Poughkeepsie. Donations may be made in Antoinette's name to Hospice of Dutchess County, 374 Violet Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
