Obituary of Joan Anne Reynolds

Joan Anne Reynolds Joan Anne Reynolds of the Town of Poughkeepsie went home to be with her Lord where she wanted to be on February 21, 2006. She was 75. Daughter of the late Royal Lawrence and Anna Walsh Elwell, she was born on May 9, 1930 in Yonkers. She married the love of her life, Douglas G. Reynolds who precedes her in death, passing on December 10, 1997. Joan graduated from Wappingers Central School. She, along with her husband, went on to own and operate DJ's Deli in New Hackensack for 7 years. She was very dedicated to her religion as an avid member of Faith Assembly of God in Poughkeepsie and a prayer partner with the Trinity Network for 13 years. Survivors include her daughters, Janet Cassard and her husband, Jeffrey of the Town of Poughkeepsie and Donna Harrison and her husband, Paul of Pleasant Valley; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Wendy, Tricia, Renee, Doug and Bonnie; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Douglas, she is predeceased by her sisters, Lorraine Ciancanelli and Peggy Elwell. Family will receive their friends on Thursday, February 23, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Straub Funeral Home, 55 E. Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 24 at 11:00 am at Faith Assembly of God, 254 Spackenkill Road in Poughkeepsie. Interment will follow in Wappingers Rural Cemetery, Wappingers Falls.
