Obituary of Rose Louise Aglione

Rose Louise Aglione Rose Louise Aglione, 91, a resident of Wappingers Falls and formerly of White Plains, entered into rest Friday, January 20, 2006 at Wingate at Dutchess, Fishkill. Daughter of the late Joseph and Carmella Canzoneri Aglione, she was born June 21, 1914 in White Plains. Rose was educated in White Plains and was a seamstress until her retirement in 1975. She is a member of St. Mary's Church, Wappingers Falls and a former member of Mt. Carmel Church in White Plains. She was also a member of the Ladies Sodality of the Assumption Church, Ferris Avenue, White Plains. Rose was a dedicated Met's fan and loved to play bingo and lottery with her friends. She is survived by her devoted sister, Vita Aglione of Wappingers Falls; her loving brother, Salvatore Aglione and his wife, Patricia of Wappingers Falls; her nieces and their husbands, Joanne and Dennis Masters of Naples, FL, Donna and Jason Benson of Sandy Hook, CT, SallyAnn and George Shute of Pleasant Valley, Carmella and Dave Morrison of Fishkill and Tricia and Garrett Kuehner of Lagrange. Rose had many grandnieces and grandnephews who loved her and will miss her; Mathew, Taylor, Ryan, Jennifer, Danielle, Davey, Garry, Joey and Mitchell. She was predeceased by her sister, Sadie Aglione in 1998. Family will receive their friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, January 23, 2006 at Straub Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 am on Tuesday, January 24 at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Greenburgh, NY In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Rose's name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
