Obituary of Margaret T. Kleinbaum

Margaret T. Kleinbaum Margaret T. Kleinbaum, a resident of the Town of Wappinger, entered into rest, Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at her home. She was 86. Daughter of the late John and Mary Thomas Murphy, she was born May 14, 1919 in Nova Scotia, Canada. Margaret met her husband Edward while they served in the United States Army during World War II. They both worked as x-ray technicians until they were honorably discharged in 1946. She then married Edward on December 29, 1946 in Bronx, New York. Mrs. Kleinbaum worked as a clerk for the New York State Department of Labor in Queens until her retirement in 1983. Besides her husband, Edward at home, she is survived by her daughter, Joan Hardy of Hopewell Junction. She is predeceased by her son David Kleinbaum, who passed in 1983; her brothers, Edward Murphy who was a Navy Veteran of World War II and John "Jack" Murphy who was a decorated Marine Veteran of World War II; and her sister, Rosemary Theis. Family and friends are asked to meet on Friday, March 31, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Straub Funeral Home, 55 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
