Carmella DeRasmo
Carmella DeRasmo, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. She was 79
Daughter of the late Frank Bonnona and Theresa Santella, she was born February 21, 1927 in East New York, Brooklyn.
She married Nicholas DeRasmo on January 27, 1951 in East New York, Brooklyn. Mr. DeRasmo survives at home in Wappingers Falls. Carmella took care of her husband and family and enjoyed playing cards and lottery scratch-offs.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Dominick DeRasmo and his wife, Susan of Saranac, New York, Grace Viserto and her husband, Michael of Beacon and Thomas DeRasmo of Wappingers Falls; her grandchildren, Dominick, Jr. and Michael DeRasmo, Cassandra Hinds and her husband, Jason, Michael Viserto, Jr., and Anthony and Thomas DeRasmo; and her great-granddaughter, MaKenna DeRasmo.
Family will receive their friends on Thursday, April 6, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Straub Funeral Home, 55 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, April 7 at 1 p.m. St. Mary's Church, Wappingers Falls.
