Allen Ruhe



Allen Ruhe, a resident of the Village of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest, Sunday, April 2, 2006 at his home. He was 62.



Son of the late Edward and Henrietta Brandt Ruhe, he was born November 27, 1943 in the Bronx.



He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He married the former Susan Orlando on September 27, 1963. Mrs. Ruhe survives at home.



Allen was a salesman for Sears and Roebuck in the Bronx. Most importantly, he was a wonderful and loving grandfather to his three grandchildren.



In addition to his wife, Susan, he is survived by his children, Patricia Ruhe and her companion, Chuck Farranda of Fishkill, Theresa Baker and her husband, and Allen's best buddy, Steven of Wappingers Falls, Thomas Ruhe of New Paltz, Alexander Ruhe and his wife, Sophalla of Wappingers Falls, and Christopher Ruhe and his fiancee, Amy DeCarlo of Wappingers Falls; his brothers, Edward Ruhe of Florida and Steven Ruhe of Elmsford, NY; his aunt, Alice Rogers of Tenafly, NJ; his beloved grandchildren, Ashley, Matthew and Nicholas and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his dogs, Swiper, Nina, Nala and Kaido.



Family will receive their friends on Tuesday, April 4, 2006 from 7-9 at Straub Funeral Home, 55 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.



A Funeral Service will be held during the visitation at 8:30 pm at the funeral home.
