Obituary of Carmine Pollice
One of Greystone's favorite sons, Carmine Pollice, passed on July 24, 2014 in the late afternoon at his own home supported to the ultimate degree by his devoted manager, Casper Owuor, and Donna Mae at his side.
Carmine's health had been of critical concern for the past several years; but that tough Jersey spirit pushed him forward. He would rebound and relish the fawning attention of those around him, his 70th birthday bash, watching the clock for his coffee and cigarette breaks, sitting in his recliner smack dab in the middle of the action and ready to 'lay down the law' if needed. Carmine lived at Greystone for nearly three decades, first at Maguire and then at Salt Point for the past nine years. He is survived by his younger sister, Diane Ferraro, with whom he shared an exceptional connection despite decades of physical separation.
Our hearts are heavy with his loss and the pain of Diane and Carmine's Salt Point family. But, what a life he led! Carmine Pollice = "I did it my way."
