John F. Guido
John F. Guido, 52, a life long resident of Wappingers Falls, died suddenly June 10, 2006 at his home.
Son of John Guido and the late Mary Todaro Guido, he was born April 27, 1954 in Poughkeepsie. His mother preceded him in death, March 16, 2003.
John was formerly employed at F.D.R. Library in Hyde Park.
John was a loving son, brother and uncle who had a heart of gold and a great sense of humor. He enjoyed the outdoors, good music, swimming and animals. John had a strong faith in God and prayed always for guidance on his journey through this life.
"God is near to those that are broken at heart and those that are crushed in spirit he saves." Psalm 34:18
Survivors include his father John Guido of Wappingers Falls; his three sisters, Darcel Guido of Wappingers Falls, Debra Takacs and her husband, Michael of Staatsburg and Linda Hadden and her husband, Jeffrey of Wappingers Falls; two nephews, Jaison Hungerford and his wife, Sarah of London, England, Samuel Takacs of Hyde Park; two nieces, Lorell Guido of St. Petersburg, Florida and Sarah Crispell and her husband, Greg of Highland; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
His family's prayer is that God now takes his hand and leads him to the peace he has never known in this life.
Family will receive their friends on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Straub Funeral Home, 55 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls.
Interment will follow in the family plot in St. Mary's Cemetery, Wappingers Falls.
