Kimiko Kloepping
Kimiko Kloepping, a long time resident of the Town of Wappinger, entered into rest Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at her home. She was 76.
Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Okada, she was born June 3, 1930 in Miho,
Japan. She married John Kloepping on November 25, 1952 at the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo, Japan. Mr. Kloepping survives at home in Wappingers
Falls.
Mrs. Kloepping devoted her life to her family and took great pride in her home. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, skiing, golfing, traveling and going to the movies. She belonged to the Vassar Ladies Golf Club.
In addition to her husband of 53 years, John Kloepping, she is survived by her children and their spouses, Dennis John Kloepping and his
wife, Karolyn of Massachusetts, Cindy Knight, Diana Lynne Kloepping of Milton, Judy Lea Kloepping of Colorado and Susan Kim Weiss and her husband, Jerry of Colorado; her grandchildren, Bryan Rogers, Kyle Kloepping, Nikkomi and Jaden Weiss; as well as a brother, sisters, nieces and nephews in Japan.
Family will receive their friends on Friday, August 4, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Straub Funeral Home, 55 East Main St., Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 5 at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Marie Sheldon officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 45 Reade Place, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
